ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

My favourite way to share my love for crochet is by passing on my skills to others - you keep asking so now I have a created a course just for you! There are literally hundreds of beautiful crochet designs available for you to make, but for a confident beginner / intermediate crocheter they can still be scary! This is because most crochet patterns are written using abbreviations of crochet terms, which save space and make patterns easier to read. But when you don’t know the terms or the abbreviations or the symbols or even how to read a crochet chart it’s just frustrating jibberish.

So, we will master some of these in this course with this pattern, until they become familiar.

COURSE OVERVIEW Over 3x beautifully relaxing, 2.5hr workshops on consecutive weeks (7.5hrs in total) you will be guided through the crochet pattern to make this beautiful scarf. It's a striking interplay of openwork and texture that will stand out and impress your friends and family with it's timeless design and easy elegance.

SKILL LEVEL (EASY/INTERMEDIATE)

Beyond beginners basically - You will need to be comfortable crocheting even if its just one stitch ie. single or double crochet stitch. This course is intended for those who have learnt the basics of crochet and are now looking to increase their crochet confidence. This course starts with the basics and progresses through to intermediate stitches and combinations. It is a great way to get used to working from both a written pattern and chart.

Whether you're a confident beginner or a seasoned crocheter, this course brings both challenge and joy—one beautiful row at a time.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

This is a three week long workshop with three in-person sessions, scheduled every week, providing time between sessions to practise and apply your learning to finish the section of scarf we are working on that week.

7.5hrs in person tuition All materials, crochet hook and yarn. (Choose from a selection of beautiful variegated yarns to create your own unique colour palette.)

Handouts for each class and a digital pattern to continue after the workshop sent via email

Videos of each section - stitches and rows 

Unlimited pots of tea and coffee and as always a BIG slice of Nicky’s delicious homemade cake at each workshop to fuel your learning!

At the end of the course, your very own beautiful crocheted Serendipity Scarf using ALL the techniques you have learnt to enjoy and show off to your friends and family.
